Go ahead, start writing, recording, affirming, or confirming your New Year’s Resolutions! How many of you will “make brand New Resolutions this year? Did you keep the ones you made last year? Hello, my name is Daria Dillard Stone, The Servant. Welcome to the Conversations Of Courage Blog!

I hope you don’t think I am trying to “start a controversy” right at the beginning of the year. Really I am not. I am trying to help you realize something about yourself as I acknowledge those challenges for “myself.” I am guilty of making new year’s resolutions and never keeping them. I intend to, but I don’t. Why don’t I keep them? Glad you asked. I wasn’t “accountable to me.” If you would be honest with yourself – you can probably relate.

Resolutions are commitments – right? Are you committed to you yet? Once we get committed to ourselves, we will find success, liberty, and even peace. Maybe the following will help you – no “help us!”

  1. I will not judge people or allow them to judge me.
  2. I will love people even when I don’t understand people.
  3. I will affirm myself if no one else does.
  4. I will intentionally use self are to enhance myself.
  5. I will not be a victim of my past.
  6. I will use the 24 hours God gives me to give back.
  7. I will spend more time in meditation/reflection with God.
  8. I will continue to be a woman/man with a Servant Leader’s heart.
  9. I will not be intimidated by people.
  10. I will eat better (fruits, veggies, cookies, chips, popcorn..LOL)

Can I ask another question? Do you and I need a resolution? Think about it. Until the next time! Because I care, I share
