A Joyful Person In Pain is a Powerful Person with Purpose! Let me start off with that sentence because often (in my past), that sentence would describe Daria. And it probably also describes you too!
Do you believe you Finally Got It? Have you learned some of the lessons life has taught you? Hi, my name is Daria Dillard Stone, The Servant. Welcome to CONVERSATIONS Of COURAGE The Blog!
I believe all of God’s Word now – but I have not always been where I am. The Word clearly states: “KJV: 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he/she is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.”
NIV: 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ – he/she is a new creation; the old has gone, and the new has come!”
Years ago, I was preaching for a Women’s Day Ministry. Afterward, as the ladies congratulated me for the WORD I had shared, a young lady I knew came up to me and whispered in my ear, “I remember when you use to sing in your daddy’s bootleg joint.” I responded openly so all could hear, “Look at God working on us – now we are in Jesus’ Joint!” Now, I don’t know what her intentions were, but I was not going to allow her to “hang my past life over me and make me feel ashamed or guilty.” YES, I Finally Got It! No one is worth you and I stepping backward in our growth process. I was shocked at how calm I could be, but I realized this “new creature thing” was really working and the old me was truly dying daily. I want to encourage you to do the same. There will always be someone who remembers “what you used to do,” but you have not forgotten either. Remind them and yourself that – you are now under new management!
I Finally Got It!!! I can’t control how folks feel about me, what they think about me or say about me. Neither can you. But if we are new creatures, we have to be NEW in every situation and folks sometimes don’t even know they are being used to illustrate the fact that “yes we are new creatures!”I didn’t do what my flesh wanted to do, that is the old me – oh sure, I am not going to lie and say I didn’t think about it for a hot second when she whispered in my ear, but the newness of life is more important than anyone reminding me what I never forgot. Keep walking in your new self – knowing some days you will make mistakes – don’t let those mistakes make YOU! How can I help you? Let’s have a Conversation Of Courage.
